Antonio Conte takes his Juventus side to Nordsjaelland in the Champions League Conte: his Juve side are unbeaten in 47 Serie A matches.

Champions League Bitesize

This week sees matchday three of this season's Champions League, the highlight of which is Ukrainian title holders Shakhtar Donetsk entertaining reigning European champions Chelsea. Our experts Sam Dymond and Mike Holden have previewed each game and chosen their best bet verdicts...

FC Nordsjaelland v Juventus (Group E)
Juventus extended their undefeated domestic run to 47 matches by ending Napoli’s own unbeaten record on Saturday but they need a Champions League win in Denmark to keep pace with Chelsea and Shakhtar Donetsk at the top of Group E. Nordsjaelland fared admirably against both of those sides in their opening two games, but twice faded badly late on and it’s then that the Serie A champions will be able to ram home their superiority. Shakhtar Donetsk v Chelsea (Group E)
Reigning European champions Chelsea maintained their lead at the top of the Premier League with a 4-2 win at Tottenham at the weekend, but their trip to the Ukraine looks a much tougher test. Shakhtar are improving in continental competition every year and were unlucky not to win in Turin three weeks ago. With the Donbass Arena still something of a fortress for the hosts, Donetsk have enough talent to shock the Londoners to move clear at the top of the group. (SD)
Lille v Bayern Munich (Group F)
Both of these sides suffered disappointing away defeats in their last Champions League outing, and while you’d imagine it was nothing more than a blip for Bayern Munich on their way to topping the group, it’s now hard to see Lille progressing. The Bundesliga leaders have been in incredible form domestically and they should give a home defence missing the suspended Mathieu Debuchy all kinds of trouble. (SD)
Barcelona v Celtic (Group G)
Celtic won a first away game in the European Cup since 1986 last time out in Moscow but they will surely be brought back down to earth with a bump by their visit to the 2011 champions. However, Barcelona still have huge injury problems in defence – highlighted in their 5-4 win at Deportivo at the weekend – and the SPL side may just give their travelling fans a goal to cheer at the Camp Nou. (SD)
Galatasaray v CFR Cluj (Group H)
They may still be top of the Turkish Super Lig, but the wheels have come off slightly for Galatasaray. It’s just one win in six for Fatih Terim’s men and they were easily beaten at home by Braga three weeks ago while Tuesday’s opponents, Cluj, were giving Manchester United a real fright. The Romanians are faltering themselves domestically but have impressed in Europe and they can help themselves to another point here. (SD)
Man Utd v Braga (Group H)
Two wins by the odd goal in Europe this campaign has indicated a steady-if-not-spectacular start for Manchester United, but they should put themselves on the brink of qualification with a third victory when Braga visit. The Portuguese outfit were surprise winners at Galatasaray earlier this month, but they’ve laboured domestically since and the home side can take advantage to claim both halves as they have done in their two most recent Premier League outings. (SD)
